Batu caves, in Kuala Lumpur is one of the notable touristy places to see. Quite recently they painted the stairs to make it look better. There were lots of monkeys around; I was actually a bit scared if they would attack me. As it was Christmas time, and for Disney 90th anniversary, there was lots of decorations in the Pavillion Mall in KL which was amazing. The only real place that I felt Christmas atmosphere in Malaysia was in the big malls. Transport around KL is ok with the metro, though some places like batu caves require you take a cab that would save a lot of time.

Penang was another city which I visited. Very famous for food which is quite good and lots of variety. At the airport ,make sure you pick up a map which has all the recommendations, this helped me a lot. Spent too little time here and maybe a bit longer than 2 days needed in Penang around 3 days ideal. Georgetown has world famous street art/murals, this was very nice especially to take photos with. You can go on a treasure hunt walking around to find all the murals, maps usually at hotels or airport to help. If I had more time would have gone to the avatar garden.

There was a rainbow bridge at Komtar tower which was really cool and worth the cost as it also gave good views of all of Penang. You can also go on food hunts around Penang as super good and affordable.
Overall the trip was really enjoyable. And as staying in Singapore, many people said I should visit Malaysia once as it is quite close. Even though similar cultures, the biggest difference is the lower cost of living in Malaysia.
